A Kőfeszt programsorozatot szervezője, a Határtalan Hangok Közhasznú Alapítvány már régóta mondja: kell egy hely. Mert hiába a tízezres látogatottságú nyári fesztivál, hiába a népzenére és néptáncra áhítozó közönség, ha nincs a térségben egy olyan szabadtéri helyszín, ahol igazi táncházakat lehet tartani.
És lett: az Alapítvány 2021-ben nyert Veszprém-Balaton2023 Európa Kulturális Fővárosa (VEB2023 EKF) infrastrukturális pályázatán pajta építésére - és márciusra állt is a Botond Pajta! A pajta a néptáncosok mellett helyi rendezvények otthona is.

The organiser of the Kőfeszt programme series, the Boundless Voices Public Benefit Foundation, had been saying for a long time: we need a place. Because the summer festival with tens of thousands of visitors is in vain, the audience yearning for folk music and folk dance is in vain if there is no open-air venue in the region where real dance houses can be held. And thought was followed by action: in March 2021, the Botond Barn was built! In addition to folk dances, the barn is also home to local events.
